In last week’s episode, we were treated to several major developments all packed into a single episode. Obviously, they can’t do that for every one, or else the showrunners would run out of story and we’d get fatigued. I don’t know if I said it in the review for Arrow last week, but normally we’d get an entire episode framed around just the single sentence of any one of its reveals. This week’s episode, “The Return,” was just one of those episodes, framed around “You killed Sara.”
In the meantime, we were treated to, as the episode title suggests, the return to the Island, the return of the always-welcome Manu Bennett, plus the sorely-missed Colin Donnell in the guise of Tommy Merlyn.
